Pre-school data collection wave completed
It is always an important time for us when we complete a new round of interviews with our Growing Up in New Zealand families.
It is always an important time for us when we complete a new round of interviews with our Growing Up in New Zealand families, and we are proud to announce that the pre-school (54-months) data collection wave was officially concluded in the field earlier this month.
Thanks to the dedication of our interview team, pre-school interviews were completed by 6072 mothers, 93% of the available main cohort. The team also recorded developmental observations and collected swab and spit samples from a majority of the Growing Up in New Zealand children.
The high overall retention and the number of consents given to collect biological samples illustrate yet again the commitment of our participants to contribute to this unique and important study. For this we continue to be truly grateful.
